Welcome to the CRIS® Learning Center!
The Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) program is a continuing
education curriculum focusing on the insurance and risk management needs of construction
projects and contractors. Those who complete the program are entitled to display
the CRIS designation to certify their knowledge of construction insurance and risk
management as well as their dedication to the construction industry. CRIS courses
are approved for insurance agent or broker CE credit in most states.
In this online Learning Center, you can do the following:
- Sign up for CRIS courses in the Course Catalog
- Sign up for other CE courses in the Course Catalog
- Read or print the CRIS or other CE courses you have purchased
- Take the online test to receive credit for a course
- Review summaries of your state's CE requirements
- Review the status of your account
- Update the contact information we have on file for you
For more information about the CRIS designation, return to
CRIS Home.
Order CRIS Courses Now!
It is easy to enroll in the CRIS program. Just go to the Course Catalog, select
the course(s) you wish to take, and proceed to checkout. If you are relatively new
to insurance, we suggest you consider the optional fundamentals course. Otherwise,
select one or more of the core courses to start.
At checkout, you'll be asked to provide basic contact information about yourself,
register your credit card for payment of the course fees, and agree to receive communications
about the program and your designation from us via e-mail. You could be on your
way to achieving your CRIS designation with your first course in just 10 minutes!
10% Discount for CFMA Members
If you are a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, you qualify for a
10% discount off the course fee and, if you need it, CE fee. If you are a member,
simply enter E958030 when asked for your special promotion code upon checkout. All CFMA orders will be checked against the membership list,
so please do not claim the discount unless it applies to you.
CRIS Courses for Reaccreditation
Have you already earned the CRIS designation? In addition to the core courses,
the CRIS Learning Center offers a number of other construction risk and insurance
courses designed to increase your expertise. Just click on the "Reaccreditation"
tab. In most cases one of these courses is all you need to satisfy the 7-hour CE
requirement to maintain your designation and most also qualify for insurance CE
if you need it.
Obtain Reaccreditation for Attending an Approved Program
Another option for renewing your designation is to attend or participate in other approved
conferences, seminars or educational programs (see
a list of approved programs). Once you have attended an approved program, you
must notify us by providing the Completer Code from the Certificate of Completion
that the program provider gives you and pay the registration fee.
